So far Damian has competed in the first 3 events of the 2017 season, Foxhall on 18th March, Northampton on 2nd April, and Aldershot on 16th April. All Oval Track Legends cars have a transponder fitted which track their performance, and which can be viewed on the MyLaps.com website. Data for the 3 races so far can be found here :-

Each meeting consists of 2 heats and a Final. With Damian being considered a rookie for the first 3 races of 2017 he’s started near the back of the grid in every race. Out of the 9 races in total so far (3 meetings x 3 races per meet) here are some key stats about Damian’s performance:-
- He’s always finished higher than he started
- He’s gained on average 9 places per race
- He’s finished ahead of every other rookie bar one (#178 Mark Dews) in every race
- He’s only been beaten by #178 Mark Dews in 2 of the 9 races they’ve competed in, both of those being at Aldershot, and both with Mark starting ahead on the grid
- On Chris Pye’s un-official points chart Damian is in 14th position, the highest placed rookie
